UK-Ghana Trade & Investment Summit: Trade Resource Centre to help businesses maximise UK-Ghana trade opportunities

The UK-Ghana Chamber of Commerce (UKGCC) and the UK-Ghana Jobs and Economic Transformation (JET) Programme have launched the UK-Ghana Trade Resource Centre, a market-access platform aimed at helping businesses maximize opportunities in UK-Ghana trade. The platform is designed to bridge information gaps, connect businesses with potential partners, and support firms in taking advantage of opportunities under the UK-Ghana Trade Partnership Agreement.

The Trade Resource Centre will offer practical support, including guidance, market intelligence, business linkages, and trade facilitation services. It will particularly benefit exporters and importers seeking to leverage opportunities created by the UK-Ghana Trade Partnership Agreement. Exporters will receive export readiness support, access to British buyers, and technical expertise referrals, while importers will gain market intelligence, industry networks, and commercial linkage support.

Eugene Sangmortey, Team Lead of the JET Programme, emphasized that the initiative aligns with efforts to strengthen trade competitiveness and support private-sector growth. He highlighted the role of the Centre in driving achievement of the ambition to deepen access to the UK market for Ghanaian manufacturers and exporters, which is crucial for business growth, trade diversification, job creation, and economic transformation.
