World News Today Live Updates: Houthis target Yemen’s Aden airport as with missiles as fighting escalates

Two missiles fired by Iran-aligned Houthi rebels struck Aden International Airport in Yemen on Wednesday morning. Despite the attack, there were no reported injuries, according to a Reuters report citing the media office of Aden’s security department. The missile strike occurs amid escalating conflict in Yemen, following Houthi advances along the Red Sea coast and recapture of key areas by Saudi-backed forces near the strategic Bab al-Mandeb Strait.

US Vice President Joe Biden's son, John David Vance, has called on Iran to significantly cut its nuclear enrichment capacity to end the ongoing seven-month war. During an interview with Reuters, Vance stated that any agreement with Iran must include a substantial reduction in nuclear enrichment capacity rather than just promises of future reductions.

He emphasized that Iran should abandon highly enriched fuel if it genuinely wants to show its commitment to not developing a nuclear weapon. Separately, a 15-year-old student in Istanbul stabbed eight pupils at Şeyh Şamil Imam Hatip Secondary School, killing one of them, in what police describe as a random attack. The attacker, who donned a school uniform, was apprehended after the incident.

The victim succumbed to her injuries despite medical efforts, while seven others remain hospitalized for treatment. The assailant, a resident of the same neighborhood and a student at a different school, targeted pupils indiscriminately while dressed in the attire of her own school.
