Steam initiated its Autumn Sale last week, and PC enthusiasts know these seasonal sales are ideal for purchasing games. However, Steam's pricing isn't always the most competitive. Marathon, Bungie's latest live action release, is currently priced at $23.99 on Steam, but digital game stores like Fanatical and GMG are offering lower prices.
Fanatical, a UK-based e-commerce platform, is selling Marathon Steam codes for $19.99, which is lower than Marathon's lowest price on the U.S. side of Steam. The deal, according to price trackers, is cheaper than Marathon has ever been on Steam. Marathon, developed by Bungie, has faced challenges during its development, including a troubled alpha test and plagiarism allegations.
However, the game resurfaced in March after some delays. Despite the setbacks, Marathon's dedicated fanbase appreciates its challenging gameplay and immersive world. IGN's Travis Northup gave Marathon a 9/10 review, praising its immersive experience and challenging gameplay. With Prime Day sales happening on Amazon, competing deals from Best Buy and Walmart, fans can explore various platforms for the best gaming deals right now.
