The Chief of Staff to the Abia State Governor, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, has announced plans to hold two international events in Abia State. These include the US-Africa Trade, AFRICANDO 2026 and Investment Conference/Expo, along with the Aba International Trade fair and Exhibition. These events are set to take place between November and December this year in Umuahia and Aba.
Ajagba emphasized that these events aim to showcase Abia State and its entrepreneurs, manufacturers, traders, professionals, innovators, service providers and emerging businesses to the world. Over 500 international participants, investors and business leaders have already registered to participate, indicating high demand for accommodations in major hotels during the event period.
Ajagba urged Christian leaders to inform and mobilize their communities, particularly business owners, entrepreneurs, manufacturers, professionals, youths and women in enterprise, to take advantage of these opportunities. He also appealed to Muslim leaders, stating that the participation of the Muslim community is both important and desirable, encouraging them to take maximum advantage of the opportunities presented by these events.
