The United Arab Emirates secured another equestrian silver medal at the 2026 Asian Games in Tokyo on Sunday. Abdullah Humaid Al Muhairi and Hudson de Vains emerged victorious in the final, after a dramatic three-way jump-off. This is the UAE's second silver medal from the Asian Games, which conclude on Sunday, bringing their overall medal tally to 12 – including seven gold, four silver and one bronze.
Humaid Al Muhairi's teammate, Omar Abdul Aziz Al Marzooqi, finished sixth in the newly introduced 1.55m Competition B. Sheikha Latifah Bint Ahmed Al Maktoum and Cornet XL placed seventh in the same competition after two fences down in the decisive round.
In the higher-level Competition B, Emirates Jumping's Al Marzooqi, and Sheikha Latifah both achieved sixth place. Despite Al Marzooqi's excellent clear round, a two-fence mistake in the decisive round prevented them from securing a higher ranking. Sheikha Latifah expressed disappointment with her performance, emphasizing her pride in her team's achievement.
