8 students drown in Alandi: Family friend questions safety measures taken

Advocate Priyesh Sonawane, a family friend of the deceased student Rajveer Vahile, criticized the safety measures taken during a picnic organized by Winner's Academy in Alandi. Sonawane questioned why the academy allowed 16-year-old students, who are minors, to participate in the beach excursion without proper safety equipment. He also raised concerns about the lack of adequate supervision during the outing.

Tanmay, one of the students who drowned, was a member of Rajveer's extended family. Rajveer's uncle, Pintu Vahile, expressed shock at the incident and called for answers from all authorities regarding the safety precautions during the trip.
