Qatar's MCIT signs MoU with PwC Middle East to boost digital government development

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) in Qatar has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PwC Middle East to enhance cooperation in the realm of strategic consulting and knowledge sharing. This agreement seeks to bolster the capabilities of employees and leaders within the ministry's Digital Government Affairs sector.

Farha Al Kuwari, the Director of Digital Transformation Excellence at MCIT, and Joseph Abboud, a Partner specializing in Technology, Digital Transformation, and Digital Government Consulting at PwC Middle East, signed the MoU on behalf of the respective entities. The primary focus of this partnership is to improve the implementation of digital transformation initiatives and bolster the development of government services.

Cooperation under this agreement will encompass various areas, including training sessions, exchange of knowledge and expertise, preparation of specialized reports, and thought-leadership papers on digital government. Additionally, it will provide opportunities to learn from international experiences and emerging technologies, aiding in the identification of development opportunities and the adaptation of relevant global best practices tailored to the sector's needs.

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology anticipates that this collaboration will significantly enhance government professionals' ability to stay abreast of digital government developments and apply this knowledge to improve institutional practices. This agreement is part of the ministry's broader strategy to invest in national talent and collaborate with specialized institutions to fortify institutional capabilities in digital government, aligning with Qatar's Digital Agenda 2030 and Qatar National Vision 2030.
