NPP Vice Chair race: I may be the youngest, but most experienced – Nana B

Henry Nana Boakye, the National Vice-Chairperson candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), emphasizes that his youth should not be misconstrued as a lack of experience as he seeks the post. At 26, with 26 years of uninterrupted service to the NPP, he has held positions at every level of the organization. Boakye began his political career at 19, serving as a polling agent during the 2000 general election.

His experience includes roles at polling stations, electoral areas, constituencies, and national structures. He served as polling station chairman, electoral area chairman, constituency communications officer, and regional level member. Moreover, he co-founded the Tertiary Students' Confederacy Network (TESCON) while studying at the University of Mines and Technology.

Boakye's service at the national level included participation in the National Steering Committee, national youth programs, and as a national communications officer. He considers his extensive experience as giving him a comprehensive understanding of the party's rise and fall, successes, and setbacks. Boakye views his political journey as one "trained and groomed" by the NPP, highlighting his deep understanding of the party's structures, challenges, and grassroots operations.

The NPP will elect its national executives on October 3, 2026, and Boakye is vying for the Vice-Chairperson position, currently held by another aspirant.
