In Malaysia's Negeri Sembilan state, the opposition party PKR has warned that prolonged uncertainty in governance could cripple administration, harm residents, and damage the state's economy. Following a PKR Nine State Leadership Meeting (MPN) session in the state, PKR Negeri Sembilan emphasized that prolonged uncertainty is not only connected to constitutional issues, but may also jeopardize the state's administration.

They noted that such uncertainty could adversely affect investment, development, land allocation, project execution, and job opportunities.

PKR further highlighted concerns about the status of the Municipal Council (MMKN) and the appointment of Village Development and Safety Committees (JPKK) members. They expressed worry that if the appointment and functioning of these institutions remain uncertain, local communities and villages could lose their effective representation and coordination.

The party's Negeri Sembilan branch also expressed disappointment with the actions and appointment of the Chief Minister Ismail Lasim, claiming his decisions do not align with the directives of Negeri Sembilan's Yang DiPertua Besar, Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir. The state's political crisis came to a peak after Tuanku Muhriz canceled the appointment of 10 powerful Exco members on September 20.
