Da Prince Gh joins Robert Mugabe Jnr, others to celebrate 82nd birthday of Ugandan president

Ghanaian gospel artist Da Prince Gh attended the 82nd birthday celebration of Ugandan President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, alongside Robert Mugabe Jnr. and other African dignitaries. Dubbed the "Mzee @82 Legacy Gala," the event took place at the Kololo Ceremonial Centre in Kampala on September 19, 2026, as part of a month-long commemoration.

The celebration featured diplomats, investors, entrepreneurs, and African organization representatives. Da Prince Gh, whose real name is Apostle Solomon Leonard Baidoo, journeyed to Uganda to participate in the festivities. The ceremony highlighted various aspects of President Museveni's leadership, including security, regional stability, Pan-Africanism, economic and infrastructural development, and youth empowerment.

Uganda's Vice President Jessica Rose Epel Alupo, representing the President, attended the event and expressed interest in both Da Prince Gh and Mugabe Jnr. Da Prince Gh described the invitation as a significant honor, praising President Museveni as a strong Pan-Africanist leader and likening him to Ghana's former leader Kwame Nkrumah.

He also reflected on his own contributions to African music, mentioning his collaborations with Castro Under Fire in 2014 and his 2022 album "Amazing."
