Madhya Pradesh’s New Challenger 3500 Jet To Take Off From Canada On October 1

Madhya Pradesh's recently acquired jet, the Challenger 3500, is set to embark on its maiden journey from Canada on October 1. The aircraft will make a stop in either London or Frankfurt, Germany, for fuel before proceeding to India. The flight from Canada to London or Frankfurt will take a minimum of eight hours. Following refueling, the journey to Mumbai will also last for about eight hours.

A team from the state's aviation department will be on hand to greet the aircraft upon its arrival at Mumbai airport. Subsequently, officials from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) will be consulted to obtain necessary permissions for the flight, route, and operations.

According to sources, Bombardier, the Canadian-based jet manufacturer, has informed the additional chief secretary of Madhya Pradesh's aviation department, Sanjay Shukla, that the acceptance procedure for the jet plane is complete. The delivery of the jet to the state government will take place in Canada. On the eve of the aircraft's arrival, two pilots from Madhya Pradesh who have completed flying training will be responsible for bringing the jet to the state.

The pilot who will operate the aircraft for the state government is authorized under Foreign Aircrew Temporary Authorisation and is expected to fly the plane for up to a year. The foreign pilot will also be tasked with training the co-pilots.
