Apple Pay: How iPhone users can make payments

Apple Pay, a contactless payment service for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch users, has been launched in India. Users can make tap-to-pay transactions at stores, apps, and websites without entering a PIN or OTP. Jennifer Bailey, Apple's vice president of Apple Pay and Apple Wallet, explained that Apple Pay simplifies everyday payments, whether in-store or online, by allowing users to just tap or enter payment information once.

Axis Bank-issued Visa and Mastercard credit cards can be added to Apple Pay for use at Indian merchants that accept Near Field Communication (NFC) transactions. Online purchases on iPhones and iPads, as well as in apps and on websites, are also supported. Apple has partnered with various PSPs, including Cashfree, JusPay, and Paytm, to integrate Apple Pay into their merchant networks.

Once added, Axis Bank customers can use their credit cards for Apple Pay transactions by double-clicking the side button or Home button on their iPhone, authenticating the payment, and holding the device near the contactless reader.
