HMD Vibe 2 Pro Brings 5G Support and 6,000mAh Battery for Cheap

HMD has introduced the latest addition to its Vibe series, the Vibe 2 Pro, in India. This new smartphone boasts a 120Hz display, a 64MP Sony camera, a large 6,000mAh battery, and 5G connectivity. While it is expected to be launched in other markets as well, HMD has not officially announced this yet.

The phone features a 6.78-inch LCD display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It comes in three color options - Aqua Green, Cosmic Purple, and Silver Mist. It also includes a 3.5mm headphone jack, stereo speakers, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a USB Type-C port.

Under the hood, the Vibe 2 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset and supports 5G connectivity. It runs Android 16 and offers dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, and GPS for connectivity. The device comes with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM, both variants featuring a massive 128GB of internal storage. There's also a microSD card slot for expanding the storage.

The phone's camera system includes a 64MP main camera based on Sony's IMX682 sensor, accompanied by a 2MP macro camera. Video recording is limited to 1080p at 30FPS. For selfies and video calls, there's a 13MP front-facing camera.

The Vibe 2 Pro is equipped with a substantial 6,000 mAh battery and supports 33W wired charging. This should provide the phone with a full day of average use, though HMD hasn't provided any official battery life estimates. The phone starts at $156 for the 6GB/128GB variant, with the 8GB/128GB model priced at $177. Please note that these are the prices in India, and international prices may vary.
