‘We’ll never compromise on quality’ – Agbodza tells Accra-Kumasi bypass supervisors

Government Minister Kwame Agbodza has emphasized that the quality of the Accra-Kumasi bypass project will not be compromised. During a meeting with project supervisors, Agbodza stressed that the government's primary objective is to build a road that will endure over time. He stated, "We’ll never compromise on the quality of the work."

The President, John Dramani Mahama, would not want a project to be finished during his term and then start showing defects soon after. Consequently, Agbodza called upon regional directors to fulfill their duties seriously and maintain the necessary standards throughout the construction process. He clarified that the responsibility for quality lies not only with the minister but also with the on-site personnel who monitor, supervise, and certify the work.

The minister anticipated that those in charge of the project would execute it properly, and any shortcomings due to subpar craftsmanship would be the responsibility of the supervising and certifying authorities. He urged them to approach their tasks with integrity and ensure the road meets the required standards.
