UAE condemns Ben-Gvir’s storming of Al Aqsa Mosque compound

Abu Dhabi: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has firmly condemned Israeli Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir for storming the Al Aqsa Courtyard alongside settlers, protected by the Israeli police. The UAE views this as a provocative escalation and an unacceptable act of extremism. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has called on the Israeli government to take full responsibility, condemn these hostile acts, and hold all involved accountable, especially ministers and officials in the Israeli government.

The UAE has stressed that ongoing attacks and incitement to hatred and violence constitute a systematic extremist campaign, not only targeting the Palestinian people but also endangering social peace and risking further escalation. Moreover, the UAE underlined the importance of respecting the historical and legal status quo of the Al Aqsa Mosque, protecting all holy sites, and ensuring the custodial role of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in managing the mosque's endowments and affairs.
