UAE strongly condemns storming of Al Aqsa compound

The United Arab Emirates has vociferously denounced the intrusion into the Al Aqsa mosque complex by Itamar Ben-Gvir, Israel's Minister of National Security, accompanied by a multitude of settlers. The UAE's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called for an end to provocative actions and unacceptable displays of extremism. In a statement released on Tuesday, the UAE's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) urged the Israeli government to take full accountability for the incident, to condemn hostile acts, and to hold all participants responsible.

The MoFA's statement emphasized that repeated attacks and incitement to hatred and violence constitute a systematic extremist campaign, not only targeting the Palestinian people but also endangering social harmony and risking further escalation. The UAE statement stressed the importance of respecting the historical and legal status quo of the site, as well as the jurisdiction of Jordan, the custodian of the site, and the authority of the Jerusalem endowment responsible for managing the affairs of the Al Aqsa Mosque.
