Three Israeli airlines to launch direct Morocco flights amid growing ties

Overnight Monday, more than 100 Israeli rioters engaged in violent clashes with IDF soldiers and Border Police officers near the Palestinian villages of Jalud and Kusra. The security forces were attempting to return a Palestinian family to their home after they were forced to leave due to several incidents of nationalist aggression.

Three Border Police officers sustained minor injuries, and a security vehicle was damaged during the unrest. The mission to reunite the family with their home remained incomplete due to the intense violence at the scene. Rioters blocked roads, set tires ablaze, and hurled stones at the security forces. They also torched Palestinian-owned structures, vehicles, and other property in the area.

According to IDF reserve officers, the incident concluded around 2:30 a.m. Three troops were wounded after being pelted with stones. Settlers also set fire to a Palestinian vehicle and home in the vicinity. The IDF has increased its presence in the West Bank due to escalating tensions. The Judea and Samaria Division is now reinforced with approximately 25 battalions, and a divisional headquarters overseeing the Judea and Etzion regional brigades has been relocated to the area where tens of thousands of Israeli hikers gathered on Monday.

IDF troops, Border Police, and Israel Police have reinforced roads, hiking areas, known friction points, and communities. Military officials caution that the situation remains volatile, with the potential for a single friction incident between Palestinians and Israelis to spiral out of control and ignite the region.
