‘The One About Matthew Perry’ Intimate Docuseries Gets Netflix Premiere Date, Trailer

Matthew Perry's life story is set to be shared in a new three-part docuseries on Netflix. The trailer for "The One About Matthew Perry" premiered on Tuesday, just three years after the "Friends" star passed away at 54. The docuseries explores Perry's life through personal accounts from family, friends, and co-stars, revealing his generosity, humor, and vulnerability.

It also delves into the battles he fought, including his struggle with addiction. The series features testimonies from Perry's sister Mia Perry Bowick, friends David Pressman and Roger Castillo, former co-stars Billy Gallo and Kevin Pollak, and "Friends" writer Jeff Strauss. NBC TV executive Warren Littlefield and "Friends" writer Jeff Strauss also provide insights.

E. Martin Estrada will discuss the criminal case surrounding Perry's overdose death, which occurred in his Pacific Palisades home on October 28, 2023. Directed by Mary Robertson and executive produced by Lisa Kalikow, Eli Holzman, and Aaron Saidman, the docuseries aims to give audiences a deeper understanding of the person behind the public figure.
