Sanusi dengan ketuanan PAS

Sanusi, as the chief of PAS in the Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition, delivered a speech at a PAS rally on 16 September 2025. He emphasized that during the 15th general election, PAS-reliant components in the PN had to pay for equipment, and when PAS members only joined to become the chair, they lacked funds and resources. He cautioned against overstepping. Sanusi's message was aimed at Muhyiddin Yassin and Bersatu, who were previously part of the PN. Soon after, relations between the two parties deteriorated.

Sanusi's remarks have been widely discussed, with some claiming that PAS has become a new party, while others argue that it is merely a component of PN. Despite ongoing tensions, Sanusi has repeatedly reminded PAS to remain humble despite its 75-year history. However, the perception of PAS as arrogant and overconfident remains, especially among its own members.

Sanusi's message also hints at the idea of negotiation or "deal" when PAS representatives engage in discussions with PN members or external parties. This negotiation could involve seat allocation in the upcoming elections. While Presiden PAS Hadi Awang shows some leniency towards Hamzah Zainudin, the president of Wawasan, PAS is not intimidated by this development.
