Sanusi Nor, PAS Secretary-General, began his recount of the meeting on September 16, 2025, at PAS muktamar. He pointed out that during the PRU15, the parties in Perikatan Nasional (PN) relied on equipment that PAS had to pay for: All our equipment was paid for, they came only to compete, but later, money and resources were lacking.

Sanusi emphasized, "Don't move everything." Essentially, this message was meant to be conveyed to Muhyiddin Yassin and his Bersatu party, which were then members of PN together with PAS. Relations between the two parties soon deteriorated. Sanusi reiterated his remarks during the PAS muktamar in early this month. He stated, "PAS has become a ghar animal.

Suddenly, a few cats and kittens were brought in... they fear. Many seem to have watched the video of his speech. If you have attended, you will remember what he said next: Don't follow that cat, it's only now learning to live. It's a new body we were taught just yesterday, and now we should join it, but that's not right." Who does Sanusi mean by referring to this new entity?

Could it be Wawasan? Wallahua knows, but indeed, the new Wawasan was formed due to internal issues within Bersatu. It is a split Bersatu party. And the new Wawasan is accepted as a component of PN. Observe some of Sanusi's subsequent speeches: "People with problems come to us. They seek treatment, ask us to blow smoke, and we help them breathe.

Now they are healthy and happy, don't sit on our heads." He added, "After that, no one came, took our people, and now we are happy. They said to him, we are happy. After that, his party is big, ours is small. He becomes a candidate, we become the extras." Sanusi's message is clear, implying that PAS should not feel inferior. This message he often repeats.

The problem of PAS people feeling inferior, however, PAS is a large party, 75 years old, he said. Yet, from an outsider's perspective, PAS never seemed to display signs of feeling inferior, at least not openly. Many of its leaders speak confidently, at times appearing arrogant. Nevertheless, Sanusi's comments touched upon the aspect of dealing.

He meant that when the PAS leader or anyone representing PAS negotiates with PN members, both internally and externally, a sense of inferiority may emerge, which could lead to trouble behind closed doors. "Don't sit on the loss, tell everyone here, and then regret it later. This clearly refers to the negotiation of seats for the upcoming PRU or PRN.

Does this negotiation or the use of the term 'deal' involve Wawasan? Perhaps, but negotiating with Wawasan about seats is not a major issue for PAS. Although PAS President Hadi Awang has a soft spot for Hamzah Zainudin, the Wawasan president, I believe PAS will not back down. As the ghar animal, compared to the cat party, I think, apart from negotiating with PN's outside parties (read: Umno), or the components (Wawasan, Pejuang, Gerakan, MIPP), PAS must stand firm.
