Mintra’s Mentor AI has been recognized as a finalist in the Innovation and Technology category of the Crew Connect Global Awards 2026. The AI-powered operational assistant aims to provide seafarers with trusted operational information at the point of need, addressing the gap between completing formal training and applying that knowledge in real-world situations.

Mentor AI offers immediate access to information from its library of over 400 verified maritime safety and compliance courses, with the option for maritime organizations to incorporate their own approved courses, procedures, and documentation. Unlike general-purpose AI tools, Mentor AI operates within a controlled environment, ensuring that responses are based on approved content and can be traced back to relevant learning material and course videos.

Multi-language support and self-testing knowledge checks further enhance its utility for mixed-nationality crews and individual seafarers. In early trials, seafarers reported faster access to relevant guidance and greater confidence in decision-making.
