ITC Completes Yoga Bar Acquisition For ₹645 Cr

ITC, a prominent FMCG company, has finalized the acquisition of 100% of Sproutlife Foods, the parent company of the popular healthy snacking brand Yoga Bar. The transaction involved the purchase of the remaining 52.5% stake for approximately ₹645 crore. ITC's stake in Sproutlife was initially acquired in January 2023, initially investing ₹175 crore to acquire a 39.4% stake.

Subsequently, an additional ₹80 crore was invested to increase the shareholding to 47.5%. The latest acquisition aligns with ITC's strategy to build a "future-ready" portfolio in the foods segment.

Sproutlife Foods, founded in 2014 by Suhasini Sampath Kumar and Anindita Sampath Kumar, is an omnichannel healthy snacking and breakfast brand offering a diverse range of products, from nutrition bars to muesli and oats to cereals. In FY26, the parent entity reported a turnover of ₹452 crore, up from ₹200 crore in FY25 and ₹108 crore in FY24.

ITC's digital-first and D2C acquisition strategy is evident through its stake acquisitions in other brands. In February 2025, ITC acquired 100% of the parent company of meat brand Meatigo. The acquisition of Meatigo brought Prasuma's frozen foods and cloud kitchen businesses into ITC's portfolio. Additionally, ITC is expanding its presence in the mother and baby care segment.

It plans to acquire a 100% stake in Mother Sparsh Baby Care within two to three years, having first invested in the company in 2021 and raising its holding to 22% in 2022.
