Eagles QB Jalen Hurts leaves game vs. Bears after taking hard hit out of bounds

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts exited Monday night's game against the Chicago Bears after being hit hard out of bounds by Bears linebacker D’Marco Jackson. The incident transpired during the second quarter, as Hurts was scrambling to the right side when Jackson connected with him, delivering a forceful blow to his shoulder.

Despite Hurts seemingly being fine initially, he was subsequently taken out of the game and transported to the medical tent for concussion evaluation. It was later determined that Jackson's hit resulted in an unnecessary roughness penalty, which was later overturned due to a previous holding penalty by the Eagles. Hurts, upon regaining consciousness, made his way back onto the field unassisted.

Andy Dalton subsequently entered the game to replace Hurts. The Bears ultimately secured a victory, stalling the Eagles on two occasions and intercepting Dalton to maintain their lead.
