Eagles Jalen Hurts ordered to medical tent after vicious hit by Bears LB

In the second quarter of an NFL game, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was taken to the medical tent after suffering a violent hit from Chicago Bears linebacker D Marco Jackson. The incident occurred on 2nd-and-4 from the Bears' 15-yard line with around 6:30 remaining in the quarter. Hurts, who had stepped out of bounds while attempting to run, was tackled by Jackson in the helmet, leading referee Shawn Hochuli to order Hurts off the field.

Jackson was subsequently penalized for unnecessary roughness, but Eagles' right tackle Lane Johnson was also called for holding on the play. The penalties were offsetting, causing the play to be replayed. Eagles quarterback Andy Dalton came in to replace Hurts, but Dalton subsequently threw an interception into the end zone, ending the Eagles' best scoring opportunity. Hurts was later found to be cleared to return to the game.
