Canadian says Meta won’t let her talk to a human after killing her accounts

She had 20-year-old Facebook and Instagram accounts, with one dedicated to her dog, totaling over 20 years of memories.

Ault expressed fear over social media platforms having the ability to erase her life's memories and ability to communicate. She believes Meta, as the dominant social media conglomerate, should provide better accessibility to users. Similar experiences have been reported by media outlets in the US, where users lost their accounts and had to rely on AI for resolution.

After being alerted to these situations, Meta restored some accounts, but Ault's have not been restored. Experts argue that social media platforms have become integral to personal lives and careers, and suspending an account can have significant financial and emotional consequences.
