Commissioner of Public Instruction has mandated subordinate officers to commence work on pending cases, encompassing pension encashment, promotions, NPS, and court settlements, with the aim to complete all such cases within 20-25 days.
The department is currently grappling with over 19,000 pending employee grievances alongside several court-related matters. Officials explained that the commissioner sought immediate resolution of these cases to rebuild employees' confidence in the department. Officers were summoned to Bhopal carrying complete records and questioned about delays in processing cases.
Following this directive, 851 compassionate appointment orders were issued within a span of five days. Around 1,100 compassionate appointment cases were pending. In addition, 272 regular employees have already been elevated to higher ranks.
