Why a White Sox failed postseason run would be the front office's fault

According to ESPN's Jorge Castillo, if the White Sox exit the playoffs early, the front office would be primarily to blame, not the players.

The White Sox failed to adequately improve their rotation at the MLB trade deadline, acquiring only Luis Castillo, whose performance has been abysmal. The team would have benefited from adding a controllable starter like Jose Soriano, Reid Detmers, or Robbie Ray. Instead, they opted for Castillo, who has posted a 8.42 ERA since joining the White Sox.

While the players will undoubtedly bear the brunt of the blame for an early exit, the front office's lack of action in addressing the team's starting pitching needs will be a significant contributing factor to their postseason failure.
