Photos: GAF begins documentation and physical screening for 2026/27 enlistment

The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has initiated a Documentation and Body Selection Exercise for individuals applying to join the Ghana Military Academy for the 2026/2027 intake. This exercise is being carried out at the Air Force Base in Accra and is part of the selection process for candidates who have moved forward to the documentation and physical assessment phase.

Prospective cadets are required to verify and authenticate their academic certificates and other necessary documents, in addition to undergoing a physical examination.

The GAF had planned the three-day exercise from September 28 to 30, after the online application period closed on September 23. Qualified applicants received a text message informing them of their designated centers, reporting dates, and further instructions. Applicants in the Southern Sector will report to the Nicholson Stadium at the Air Force Base in Accra, while those in the Northern Sector will be screened at the 4 Infantry Battalion, Uaddara Barracks, Kumasi.

The purpose of this documentation and body selection exercise is to determine if applicants fulfill the necessary requirements prior to advancing to the subsequent stages of the military enlistment process. The GAF has emphasized that qualified applicants should follow the instructions provided to them and report to their designated centers on the specified dates.
