SERI KEMBANGAN: The Sultan of Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Tengku Ampuan Pahang Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah arrived at Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad's residence today to pay their respects following the death of Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohamad Ali.
Sultan Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah, and Tengku Ampuan Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, have paid their final respects to Dr Hasmah Ali. The funeral prayer will be held after Asr at Masjid As-Shyarif, Taman Sungai Besi Indah, Kuala Lumpur. Fahmi Fadzil recited the funeral prayer for Dr Hasmah Ali. Her body is expected to be buried at the National Palace in Presint 20, Putrajaya. Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim announced that Dr Hasmah will receive a state funeral with honors befitting a national hero.
