KAI, POSCO International team up for aerospace cooperation in Mexico

Korea Aerospace Industries Ltd. (KAI) has entered into a partnership with POSCO International Corp. and Mexico's aerospace industry group, the Mexican Federation of Aerospace Industry (FEMIA), to bolster aerospace cooperation in Mexico and explore potential opportunities in the broader Latin American market. This agreement was signed during President Lee Jae Myung's recent state visit to Mexico.

Under the memorandum of understanding (MOU), KAI aims to develop business models centered around supply chain cooperation and investigate new business prospects in Latin America. POSCO International will assist in integrating selected Mexican companies into KAI's aerospace manufacturing supply chain. Meanwhile, FEMIA, representing over 100 member companies, will facilitate exchanges with Mexico's aerospace ecosystem, identify potential local partners, and provide insights on pertinent government policies.

KAI expressed its commitment to strengthening their existing cooperation with Mexico and accelerating efforts to expand the FA-50 light combat aircraft into Central America.
