England’s Tuchel says calls for rotation are ‘madness’

Thomas Tuchel, the England manager, has dismissed calls for player rotation during the international break as "madness." England will face four Nations League matches during the extended international window after a loss to World Cup champions Spain in their opener. Tuchel's team will play against the Czech Republic, Croatia, and the Czechs again, leading to demands for rest periods for players who had short summer breaks due to the World Cup.

Tuchel firmly stated that he does not take calls from Premier League managers and cannot manage the minutes of the players. He emphasized that it is "impossible" and "madness" to allow such flexibility in player selection. Tuchel reiterated his team's commitment to victory, stating that an ideal scenario would be to win all subsequent matches, with a minimum of six or seven players starting each time.

He asserted that the responsibility to perform lies with the players and that the team trusts in their abilities, rejecting any economic or cautious approach.
