Amaani raises $5M in Series A

Dubai-based beauty and wellness startup Amaani has successfully raised $5 million in Series A funding, according to recent reports. The investment round was spearheaded by BECO Capital, with additional backing from Homegrown Ventures and Peak XV’s Surge. Amaani plans to utilize these funds to broaden its beauty brand AIZA throughout the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, commencing with Saudi Arabia, followed by Kuwait and Qatar.

The capital will also be allocated towards product development, recruitment, and technology infrastructure enhancement.

Amaani, founded by Shubham Poddar, launched its brand in December 2024. The company reported that AIZA's net revenue grew more than 9 times on a year-on-year basis in the first half of 2026. AIZA offers skincare and haircare products infused with ingredients like dates, black seed, frankincense, rose, and bakhoor. The formulations are developed in laboratories in Korea, Japan, and Italy.

AIZA's flagship products include the Sukkar Rush lip treatment, Scent Storm hair mist, and Date Setter brow & lash serum. These formulations are vegan, cruelty-free, alcohol-free, and meet "Clean at Sephora" standards. The brand is currently accessible via its website, Ounass, and at Ulta Beauty stores across the UAE.
