The Spanish government has acknowledged that the upcoming negotiations on the housing decree will be a "very long Monday" as multiple political parties strive to advance the decree law. Ángel Víctor Torres Pérez, the Minister of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory, stated that the decree would be presented to the Council of Ministers on Tuesday.

In an effort to draw attention to their cause, four political parties - Sumar, Podemos, ERC, EH Bildu, and BNG - have convened a press conference at 13:00 on Monday outside the Gregorio Marañón Hospital. Maricarmen Abascal, who has been hospitalized since being evicted from her home of 70 years, is expected to be present at the event.

Meanwhile, around 600 individuals have taken up residence in Madrid's Puerta del Sol square after a night without incident. In anticipation of changing weather conditions, the protesters covered themselves with tarpaulins, covering approximately 350 tents that have been set up in the city center. They have spent their second night in the square, some of them on the ground.

The protest has also spread to Barcelona, where a group of demonstrators cut off Meridiana Avenue, one of the main entry points to the city, while another group blocked Còrsega Street with the intention of extending the blockade to the Diagonal Avenue. The protest occurs in conjunction with the visit of Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez to Barcelona on Monday, where he will tour a public housing development project.
