Prince Owusu’s late brace lifts CF Montreal to 3-1 win over FC Cincinnati

Prince Owusu scored two crucial goals within a span of just three minutes to lead CF Montreal to a 3-1 victory over FC Cincinnati in a Major League Soccer match at Stade Saputo on Saturday night. The Canadian side, which was playing with a depleted squad due to international call-ups and a left-sided injury crisis, secured its first win in seven games.

Owusu's first goal came in the 72nd minute from a penalty kick after a foul on Cincinnati goalkeeper Roman Celentano. Three minutes later, he extended his side's lead by capitalizing on a defensive mix-up in Cincinnati's penalty box. Cincinnati's Daniel Rios put the visitors ahead in the 25th minute with a volley after a poorly cleared cross.

Montreal's goalkeeper managed to keep out Evander's shot early in the second half, but Rios equalized in the 64th minute with a goal from Gerardo Valenzuela's cross.
