Invest Qatar supports Brain Co's expansion to accelerate digital transformation in Qatar

The Investment Promotion Agency (IPA) has formed a strategic partnership with BrainCo, a Silicon Valley-based company specializing in applied artificial intelligence solutions, to bolster digital transformation initiatives in Qatar and promote the widespread adoption of AI technologies across multiple sectors. This collaboration aims to identify opportunities for AI utilization and develop pilot projects in collaboration with public and private entities throughout Qatar.

The partnership will concentrate on utilizing AI's potential to create practical solutions, boost institutional efficiency, heighten competitiveness, and pave the way for innovative applications in essential sectors of the Qatari economy. BrainCo's expansion in Qatar and other regional markets will be supported by the IPA, which will facilitate access to relevant government and private stakeholders, connect BrainCo with investment prospects, and assist in engaging with Qatar's technology and innovation ecosystem.

Sheikh Ali bin Alwaleed Al-Thani, CEO of the IPA, expressed that this partnership underscores Qatar's dedication to harnessing advanced technologies for innovation and sustainable economic growth. The cooperation with BrainCo is also anticipated to foster the development of national talent and capabilities, and cultivate a future-ready workforce prepared for a technology-driven global economy.

For its part, Umid Raghimi, Head of Operations at BrainCo in Qatar, emphasized the company's commitment to addressing key challenges in Qatar's vital sectors, such as healthcare, energy, financial services, and the regulatory sector, by leveraging AI technologies. BrainCo's mission is to develop AI products that significantly impact daily life by tackling crucial issues faced by governmental bodies and individuals, ultimately enhancing the quality of life.

The two organizations plan to collaborate on training programs and initiatives aimed at transferring knowledge and developing specialized skills in artificial intelligence and related technologies. These efforts will support the creation of a local competencies base capable of managing advanced technologies, and enhance the necessary capabilities to sustain the growth of the technology sector and the digital economy in Qatar.

This partnership arrives as BrainCo expands its presence in the Qatari market, having recently announced plans to open a main office in Doha.
