Heavy flooding remains in eastern Bangkok

Bangkok's governor, Chadchart Sittipunt, reported ongoing heavy flooding in the city's eastern districts on Sunday, as most main canals remained filled with water. The governor shared this information through a live Facebook post in the morning. At various canals, such as Lat Phrao, Prawet Burirom, Prem Prachakorn, and Saen Saep, pumps experienced difficulties managing the water levels.

The eastern district of Lat Krabang was particularly affected, with over 30,000 people affected by the flooding. Other areas, including Ramkhamhaeng and Bang Kapi, also faced severe flooding. Rainfall on Sunday morning amounted to approximately 10 millimeters. The governor noted, "Serious flooding continues in eastern districts of the capital and officials try to speed up drainage there," while traveling in a motorbike taxi towards City Hall in Din Daeng district.

The Drainage and Sewerage Department of Bangkok Metropolitan Administration recorded flood levels ranging from 8.5 to 15.7 cm on streets in various districts, including Phahon Yothin 60/1 and Sukhaphiban 5 in Sai Mai, Lat Krabang 30/1 Road, Phahon Yothin Road near the 11th Infantry Regiment in Bang Khen, and Seri Thai Road in Bangchan Industrial Estate.
