FSU soccer records third straight tie in slow showing vs. Louisville

Florida State's soccer team settled for a 0-0 draw against Louisville on Sunday, September 27, at Dr. Mark & Cindy Lynn Stadium. This marked their third consecutive tie, dating back to a 1-1 draw with Rice, and for the first time in program history, they failed to defeat Louisville, who had won their previous 11 matches. The Seminoles failed to register a shot in the opening half and only managed one shot on goal throughout the game.

The best chance for the Seminoles came in the final six minutes when Wrianna Hudson had a shot at goal, but it sailed over the crossbar and out of play. Louisville outshot FSU 9-3, including seven shots in the second half. FSU's defense held strong, and goalkeeper Kate Okene kept a clean sheet. The next challenge for the Florida State soccer team is a road trip to Clemson on Sunday, October 4, at 3:30 p.m., where they will face the Tigers at Historic Riggs Field.
