Four 2 metre crocodiles loose in flooded Sa Kaeo

In flooded Sa Kaeo province, four crocodiles each measuring approximately 2 meters in length have escaped from a farm, prompting villagers to ascend trees to avoid danger. The incident occurred in Moo 6, Khao Chakan subdistrict, Khao Chakan district, in close proximity to Golden Place and Nawa Farm. As residents encountered the reptiles, they quickly climbed trees for safety.

Rescue officials are coordinating a search operation to assist stranded villagers and locate the crocodiles. Authorities have strongly advised people to stay away from water, not approach the crocodiles, and refrain from attempting to capture or repel them without professional assistance; they should only do so once officials confirm the area is safe.

The Sa Kaeo Highway Department has issued warnings to drivers, urging them to avoid several flooded routes, including Highway 33 between Phra Prong and Non Chik (km 236.500 to km 237.500 in both directions), Highway 359 between Sa Khwan and Khao Maka (km 11.700 to km 13.000 in both directions), Highway 3462 between Sa Kaeo and Sa E O (km 28.000 to km 29.600 in both directions), and Highway 3366 between Tha Kham and Non Sao Ae (km 4.700 to km 5.900 in both directions).

Motorists have been cautioned against driving through floodwater and to adhere closely to official updates as authorities continue to monitor both the flood predicament and the potential risk of further animals escaping from farms in the region.
