Fifita throws 4 touchdown passes in Arizona’s 34-24 win over Washington State

Noah Fifita delivered a stellar performance for Arizona, throwing for 297 yards and four touchdowns in their 34-24 win over Washington State on Saturday night. Coming back from a halftime deficit, Arizona managed to overcome the deficit and secure the victory. Tre Spivey played a crucial role for Washington State, catching seven passes for 129 yards and two touchdowns.

Caden Pinnick was also impactful for Washington State, throwing for 241 yards and a touchdown, including a crucial opening drive touchdown. Safety Jackquintin Bal intercepted Fifita and scored a 25-yard touchdown, putting Washington State up 14-0. Fifita’s second interception of the season occurred just before time expired in the first quarter.

Before the game ended, Fifita connected with Spivey for a 28-yard touchdown pass, narrowing the gap to 14-14. Spivey also caught another 4-yard touchdown pass to tie the score at 14. Despite this, Washington State could not capitalize on their scoring opportunities and fell short in the end. Washington State’s Caden Pinnick’s 46-yard touchdown pass to Brandon Ganashamoorthy narrowed the gap to 21-17 in the fourth quarter, but Arizona’s Michael Salgado-Medina kicked a 42-yard field goal to extend Arizona’s lead.

Salgado-Medina also added a 27-yard field goal in the fourth quarter, solidifying Arizona’s 34-24 victory.
