Alcaraz saves match points to keep Europe ahead in Laver Cup

After Team World had overcome a 3-1 deficit in the first two matches of the day, all three singles matches concluded with tie-breaks. Learner Tien beat Flavio Cobolli, while Alexander Zverev lost to Alex De Minaur.

Last year, Alcaraz experienced defeat in the Laver Cup, and this time, he aimed to avenge the loss. Reflecting on the past year, Alcaraz admitted to feeling nervous at the beginning of the match, but he expressed satisfaction in overcoming Fritz with a score of 6-3, 4-6, 13-11. On the doubles front, Zverev teamed up with Casper Ruud to secure a 6-4, 7-6 (9/7) win over Alexander Bublik and Brandon Nakashima, contributing to Europe's advantage ahead of Sunday's matches, where each match is worth three points, and the first side to 13 points emerges as the winner.
