Woman, two hotel workers linked to dumped body in Abuja – Police

The Federal Capital Territory Police Command in Abuja has linked a woman and two hotel workers to the dumping of a man's body found under the Katampe Bridge. The body was discovered on August 26, after the deceased had been reported missing by his family. Initially, media reports suggested the death was linked to kidnapping and robbery.

However, investigators established that the deceased was the same person who had earlier been reported missing. The investigation led them to Mrs Rukayat Muhammed of Garki Area 2, who was allegedly in a romantic relationship with the deceased and had saved his contact as "Safiyat" on her phone. Police further found that Muhammed discovered the deceased's body at the Good Samaritan Guest House, where she allegedly removed the phone and left the man's body to die.

Two hotel management members, Ibrahim Omeiza and Kefat Bitrus, removed the body from the room and transported it to the Kubwa Expressway, where they dumped it under the bridge. The exact cause and circumstances of the man's death are still under investigation, and anyone found involved in the death or subsequent concealment will face the law.
