White House bans CNN from Air Force One trip despite federal judge's decision - report

The White House has barred CNN journalists from accompanying US President Donald Trump on a flight to Knoxville, Tennessee, according to The Washington Post. The decision stems from a federal judge's order, who ruled that the ban imposed by the president on CNN, MSNBC, and Politico was likely unconstitutional. Judge Tim Kelly instructed the administration to restore press passes for the journalists, barring officials from enforcing the ban for a 14-day period.

Trump had previously stated he might allow the journalists access if a judge ordered it. Despite Kelly's decision, CNN reported on Thursday that its journalists were still denied entry to the White House without a valid reason. Following the president's initial announcement on September 18, other media outlets also boycotted the White House, filing a lawsuit on First Amendment grounds. Neither the White House nor CNN have responded to requests for comment.
