Verbraucher: Neue Label informieren Verbraucher über Rechte bei Problemen

Brussels - Two new labels, the "Guarantee Label" and the "GARAN Label", are now informing consumers about their rights when problems arise with purchased goods. These labels have been introduced since September 27th and will be displayed in stores to help customers understand their legal rights. Under the "Guarantee Label", consumers are entitled to free repair or replacement of legally guaranteed products for at least two years.

If a manufacturer provides a voluntary warranty on the durability of a product, they must display the "GARAN Label" to indicate that the product should operate without issues for a specified number of years, and the manufacturer will repair or replace it free of charge. These labels apply to voluntary commercial guarantees that cover the entire product and do not incur additional costs for consumers, and they will be used consistently across the EU for easy recognition.
