Seeing my father break down in tears over my condition was heartbreaking – Amputee

Oluwatosin Jegede, born with a rare condition called Type 3 Tibial Hemimelia, lacked a tibia bone in her right leg and experienced polydactyly in the same limb. Her parents initially contemplated amputation, but the medical team recommended delaying the procedure until she was older. At six years old, her leg became unbearably heavy and painful, leading her parents to turn to prayer in hopes of finding a solution.

A visitor at her church disclosed the government-sponsored Tinubu Free Healthcare Programme, which offered a chance for her to receive the necessary surgery.
