Richter throws 3 TD passes, 2 long to Hammer, Toledo dominates San Diego State 41-16.

John Alan Richter had a stellar performance in Toledo's 41-16 victory over San Diego State on Saturday. Richter completed three touchdown passes, with two of them finding their way to Bryson Hammer. The Aztecs wide receiver broke free in the second quarter for a 78-yard touchdown, extending Toledo's lead to 17-3. Late in the second quarter, another touchdown to Hammer widened the gap to 24-3.

Following a failed on-side kick attempt by San Diego State at the start of the third quarter, Hammer scored again on a 38-yard reception, making it 31-3. Richter completed 16 of 22 passes for 284 yards in the game. Isaac Zay also contributed to the win with a crucial interception return for a touchdown, 67 yards out. Zay's play made the score 34-3.

Toledo dominated the game, finishing with 493 total yards while holding off San Diego State to 296. San Diego State's Jayden Denegal and Draiden Trudeau both threw touchdown passes for a combined 23 of 36 for 259 yards.
