Remita, a financial technology firm, has launched a new mobile application aimed at integrating multi-bank management, everyday payments, and retail financial services into a single platform. The product, unveiled at Nigeria Fintech Week 2026 in Lagos, represents the company's formal entry into the consumer and retail market after more than two decades focusing on institutional payments.

The application allows users to link multiple bank accounts, execute local and intra-African transfers, arrange recurring payments, invest in stocks, and access a retail lending marketplace, among other services. Managing Director DeRemi Atanda emphasized the company's shift towards direct consumer services and their vision to bring together the full financial life of the customer.

Head of Remita Consumer and Retail Business Adedayo Adewale noted that the platform addresses the fragmentation of financial services faced by Nigerian banking customers who currently use different apps for various needs. By consolidating these services into one app, Remita aims to provide a seamless and stress-free financial management experience for users.

The new app incorporates budgeting and expense-tracking tools driven by artificial intelligence, and through a partnership with the Pan-African Payment and Settlement System (PAPSS), it enables cross-border payments across Africa directly from local bank accounts. Remita processes over ₦100 trillion in transactions annually, primarily from corporate clients, and anticipates significant adoption from consumers in the coming months.
