Nation counting on you, Tinubu tells new military officers

President Bola Tinubu has addressed newly commissioned military officers at the Combined Passing Out Parade of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) in Kaduna, urging them to uphold the Constitution, protect Nigerians and remain committed to discipline, honor and selfless service. The parade marked the commissioning of cadets from various courses, including the Regular Course, Short Service Course, Direct Short Service Course, and Branch Commission Course.

Tinubu, who is also the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, commended the NDA for adapting its training programmes to meet modern warfare demands, emphasizing the Academy's focus on counter-terrorism, technological innovation, and international partnerships. He reminded the officers of their constitutional responsibilities to safeguard the nation and protect citizens while maintaining professional standards, emphasizing the need for courage, integrity, and distinction in serving the country.
