Mr Macaroni surprised me with ₦1m after our film — Peter Fatomilola

Veteran Yoruba actor Peter Fatomilola shared an intriguing story of how skit maker and actor Debo Adedayo, known as Mr Macaroni, unexpectedly surprised him with ₦1 million after collaborating on a film. Fatomilola revealed this in an upcoming interview with African A-List, discussing his experiences in the entertainment industry.

The veteran actor recounted an encounter with Mr Macaroni at a film location in Fiditi, Oyo State, where they had completed two scenes. Fatomilola noted that he was paid ₦50,000 for his work, while Mr Macaroni provided ₦200,000 for fuel expenses. He fondly recalled that after finishing quickly, Mr Macaroni greeted him and asked if he was done. Fatomilola confirmed he was leaving, to which Mr Macaroni responded by escorting him to his car and offering ₦200,000 for fuel, which was more than he had expected.

This gesture led Fatomilola to another invitation from Mr Macaroni to work on a project in Lekki, Lagos. Upon arriving, Fatomilola was surprised when he discovered he would be working alongside veteran actor Pete Edochie. Despite not knowing Edochie's health situation, the two of them acted in the film together. Fatomilola mentioned that Mr Macaroni called him to inform him that they were done and that he had satisfied him. Fatomilola stated he had no prior agreement on a fee for his role.

Notably, Mr Macaroni later gave ₦100,000 to his son and ₦50,000 to his grandchild, which prompted Fatomilola to suspect he would receive money as well, even though they hadn't negotiated a fee. When asked if the payments to his son and grandchild were part of his work compensation, Fatomilola clarified that they had never discussed a fee. Upon leaving the Lekki location, Fatomilola asked Mr Macaroni about the amount he had sent, to which he received the staggering news of ₦1 million.
