Mr Macaroni surprised me with ₦1m after our film — Peter Fatomilola

Veteran Yoruba actor Peter Fatomilola recounted how skit maker and actor Debo Adedayo, known as Mr Macaroni, unexpectedly gave him ₦1 million after collaborating on a film. Fatomilola stated this revelation during an upcoming interview with African A-List, discussing his experiences in the entertainment industry. The veteran actor remembered meeting Mr Macaroni at a film set in Fiditi, Oyo State, where they completed two scenes.

Fatomilola mentioned that he was initially paid ₦50,000 for the job, while Mr Macaroni provided ₦200,000 as fuel money. The actor recounted, "He asked, 'Uncle Fat, are you done?' I said yes, and that I was leaving. 'It was just two scenes. He escorted me to the car and said, 'Let me give you money for fuel.' The money wasn't less than ₦200,000.'

This kind gesture led to another invitation from Mr Macaroni for a project in Lekki, Lagos. Upon arriving, Fatomilola discovered he would be acting alongside Pete Edochie. The veteran actor said, "He contacted me and said, 'I'll be expecting you in Lekki tomorrow for a job.' So I had to go. When we got there, I was waiting for them to give me a role, to call me on set, not knowing I was only called to play one role."

Fatomilola revealed that Mr Macaroni subsequently gave ₦100,000 to his son and ₦50,000 to his grandchild, hinting that he would receive money as well. The actor clarified that no fee was negotiated for his role, and he only discovered the full ₦1 million amount after they left the Lekki location.
