Ghana Air Force passes out 293 recruits after six months of intensive training

The Ghana Air Force recently completed training 293 recruits of Recruit Course 1/2026 after a six-month intensive military program at the Air Force Recruit Training School based in Takoradi. On Friday, September 25, the Passing Out Parade took place, signifying the completion of 26 weeks of basic military instruction and the formal incorporation of the recruits into the Ghana Armed Forces following their oath-taking ceremony.

Air Commodore Richard Danso, Commanding Officer of the Air Force Training Command, hailed the parade as a pivotal moment for the newly trained airmen and airwomen. He highlighted that the grueling training had instilled crucial qualities essential for their future military roles, such as team spirit, cooperation, mental resilience, fortitude, confidence, and physical endurance.

However, Air Commodore Danso cautioned the recruits that the training merely served as the foundation for their military careers, with the true challenges awaiting them upon reporting to their respective bases. He encouraged them to embrace their duties with enthusiasm and commitment, while adhering to the fundamental military values of discipline, loyalty to the nation, dedication to duty, and selfless service to the country.

Furthermore, the Reviewing Officer emphasized the significance of the Oath of Allegiance taken by the recruits, cautioning them to carefully ponder upon the oath, as it would remain binding throughout their careers in the Armed Forces.
